Hello and good evening my Bearded Soldiers it’s me your Bearded Captain, leader of all beards and flag bearer of all beards on digital and digital broadcast media. I am that beard who tries to make people laugh and I am that beard who tries to make people smile.
My Bearded Soldiers, I pray you’re well; looking after yourselves and your beards! My brothers, we need to talk about an important issue in the life of beard. My dear brothers, I know you work your socks off.
So, with all that hard work you put in, doing your jobs are working your businesses, you will need time off from time to time. Sometimes, we opt for a day- a few days or even on the odd occasion a couple of weeks.
Brothers, the sad reality is this .. there’s no such thing as a day off in a mans world. When the good lady says mo the lawn, lets do the decorating or gardening and what have you and you manage to dodge it initially then know on your day off, you will not be able to break free on another occasion.
Brothers, me having six days off, made no difference and I am testament to this. At the start of the time off I wanted to visit a castle in West Yorkshire and go to a shopping centre called Cheshire Oaks.
Did I do either? No! Even me writing to you guys is being done into my sleep time. Brothers, you’re worth it, I love you guys though (yeah man crush and all). We all need time off brothers, we have to have it, but remember when you wake up go to your office or the office, wishing for a lie in, when you’re off and have the chance to take that lie in, your body passes up on the offer.
You might think, I will be stubborn and lie down, I do my go to sleep ritual and I will be knocked out. Sometimes it works, to be fair it did work for me this morning, but usually your body has the last laugh.
How? I hear you ask, well that’s by nature. Your body decides you need a pee and unless you want to wet the bed, you have to get up as you’re not 3 years old any more. When you’re up and having to make that voyage to the toilet hoping no other house members have seen you and go back to bed.
This cycle of the day off issues, I don’t think is avoidable. I have tried to advise you, but this is an issue that is difficult to fix, all I can do is raise the issue. It’s over and out from The Bearded Captain.
