Hello and good evening my Bearded Soldiers, it’s me your Bearded Captain, leader of all Beards, flag bearer of all Beards on digital and digital broadcasting media. I am that Beard who tries to make people laugh and I am that Beard who tries to make people smile.
My brothers, I pray you’re well, looking after yourselves and your Beards! Brothers, I want to talk about an important issue in the life of The Bearded Captain, the issue of working from home. Me personally, I have worked from home for the last two years, more than that even.
Here, I want to put the pros and cons of working from home and the office, I will try to be balanced. Well, the pros of working from home are that the canteen is better and I would like to think the toilets are cleaner too!
Other pros include that the toilet isn’t on the other side of the building. In my case, as I found out, the water tastes better at home than the machines at work. Other pros are that, again in my case my computer and ‘office’ is all two steps away from my bed, happy days!
I don’t have to worry about traffic either, or clearing the car in the morning, which is a nightmare! But there are some pros working in the office, honest! I actually felt, I was able to concentrate better and was more focused.
I made a tongue and cheek about the canteen, which is true. but I have packed lunch anyway. Also, the change of scenery was nice, after being in the same environment for a long time. Me personally, in my breaks I was able to do some walking, I very rarely do this when I work from home.
I would go upstairs and downstairs when I am home working, but on the whole I remain in my seat for long periods. It was good to see colleagues as well, working from home that’s something I didn’t realise I would miss as much as I did.
So, that’s my opinions of for and against. Personally, I would like best of both worlds. Work from home, but occasionally go into the office. Would love to know your opinions too. It’s over and out from The Bearded Captain.
