The unsung hero, cereal

Hello, good morning my Beards it’s me your Bearded Captain, leader of all Beards and flag bearer of all Beards on digital and digital broadcasting media. I am that Beard who tries to make people laugh and I am that Beard who tries to make people smile.

My Bearded Brethren, I pray you’re well looking after yourselves and your Beards! Brothers, I want to talk about an important issue in the life of The Bearded Captain, cereal. Yes, that’s right cereal is the breakfast meal that has evolved over time.

Initially from The Captain’s understanding cereals were more like cornflakes and have developed massively over time. Choco corn flakes, crunchy nut, cheerios and so on. Brothers, the majority of people would have their cornflakes in the morning, but I am here to shine the light.

Bearded Kings, I am here to shine the light that there’s more to cereal. My Soldiers, having cereal at lunch is a thing! Lunch is for pizza, pasta or whatever meal tickles your fancy you say, but brothers give it a go!

This isn’t just me who is saying it even Kellogg’s themselves were, the one bowl for breakfast, lunch and dinner diet. Many a time in my childhood I would pop open the crunchy nut or the coco pops, happy days!

Many of my dinners would be me having cereal. You must be wondering and yes I will clarify, mum wasn’t happy. She would cook veg and I would cook cereal into my bowl. Let me reword that, I preferred Kellogg’s cooking over her veg, to quote the Legend herself.

As much as that was prominent in my childhood, me having cereal at dinner time too, I don’t tend to have cereal too much these days. Now, it’s eggs and toast, but don’t worry I don’t have that at dinnertime unless there are chips, eggs and beans with it too.

The happy ending to this story is that I now have more veg, maybe that’s substituted the cereal. Don’t hate it before you have tried it. It’s over and out from The Bearded Captain.
