Going on holiday Asian style

Hello, good evening I hope you’re well, looking after yourselves and your Beards. It’s me Ayyaz Malik aka The Bearded Captain leader of all Beards, flag bearer of all Beards on digital and digital broadcasting media.

I am that Beard who tries to make people laugh and I am that Beard who tries to make people smile. Brothers we need to talk about an important issue in the life of The Bearded Captain, and that’s going on holiday.

As you would have gathered that I am Asian, no that isn’t just a tan, it’s a permanent tan. I didn’t have to pay a fortune of having to go on a sun bed and when there is sun, my skin can take it, I don’t need sun cream.

Well, that’s not entirely true, if the weather goes to nearly 50 degrees as it did do in Pakistan, then it was needed. Talking of going to Pakistan, that brings me to the topic of conversation, a holiday Asian style.

If you’re like my dad, then you would have mastered the art of fitting the suitcase to the brim. With my dad now going on holiday again, we start the whole packing process. This isn’t a one-man band operation.

Mum, gets the clothes ready, dad sets out and organises how the items will go in the suitcase and yours truly, is the Braun I lift the suitcase so dad can see the weight of our luggage , so dad is the brains. Packing the clothes, which true to custom, that gets done last minute.

With someone coming unannounced to give my mum and dad some items to take to Pakistan for them, then you realise why the delay. Going to places like Pakistan, you realise you take more of other people’s items than yours.

One thing that isn’t done last minute is getting to the airport. Even if you live 10 mins drive away from the airport like we do, leaving three hours early will only suffice in an Asian household. It’s anticipation similar to an iPhone release.

When you get there at the airport, it’s similar to how non-Asians would get ready for flights, and sit there in the departure lounge waiting for boarding. But having said that I am sure Asians window shop more.
Have I got that right? Do let me know in the comments.

Greetings my Bearded Soldiers, we are looking to improve the site and we can’t do this without your help. Please donate as much or as little as you can, as we look to take ayyazmalik.com to the next level. Thank you.
Nothing is quite as powerful as laughter. Thank you.

Hi guys thanks for having a look at my blog :) . Just to state the obvious my name is Ayyaz Malik. I love writing articles, it's been a passion since I have been a 'wee nipper'. To share a little bit about myself I am training to be a cricket umpire (yay!) and I work for the Asian Sunday :) which is a up and coming paper in Bradford. ayyazmalik.com is my way of sharing with you my view on sports world and world in general.
