It’s in the genes

Hello, good evening it’s me Ayyaz Malik aka The Bearded Captain, leader of all Beards and flag bearer of all Beards on digital and digital broadcasting media. I am that Beard who tries to make people laugh and I am that Beard who tries to make people smile.

Bearded Brothers, let’s have a chat, about family legacies. Brothers, as I am sure you remember, I mentioned with great pride of me reviving the window wave. As you know one of the reasons for my prolonged absence here is due to spend time with my daughter.

So in that vain Brothers, this blog is in tribute to her. I haven’t spoken about it too much, but when I do become a Father Beard I said, I want to pass down certain traditions. One of those traditions was the window wave.

As you know, I have had some sceptics, some people wondering ‘what are you doing’. Alhamdulillah though, on one random night, when my daughter was in her grandma’s room and I was walking towards that room, my daughter looked up and smiled at me through the mirror.

Not quite the window wave, but the mirror wave can catch on just for now. In time, inshaaAllah she will do a window wave too. Also as Barney Stinson would say, ok, ok?!

InshaaAllah there will be many proud father moments I will have, more significant than this. That moment alone, when my daughter was a pipe dream, I was grateful then. That’s not water in my eyes, that’s a dodgy camera angle.
